We’re sure you have heard the saying, “this is the time of our lives”. . .and we both can say that Coachella 2014 was the absolute time of our lives. It was my first time, Bree’s second, but let’s be honest, it was so much better with me there. Not only was the line-up incredibly killer, but the fashion was out of this world as well (reference the astronaut coming straight towards us above). We fell in love with fashion + music + life even more that weekend. I mean if us about to exit the grounds at 1AM because we are so tuckered out, but then hear Outkast belt out 1-2-3 UH, & immediately turn around and take off running towards the center of the field, and start dancing like crazy people, doesn’t look like we love life, thennn?. . .I mean people literally stopped and made comments saying “wait…this is the best show we have seen all day”. I digress. Other than that, Coachella is the place to try all things fashion because lets be honest, no one really cares. Hair chalk, flower crowns, fringe skirts, extreme head pieces, we did it all with NO SHAME. day 1 just wouldn’t make sense without a good selfie. . .& that goes for a single + double selfieI give you Bree’s bad-ass day 1 outfit //
She can’t go anywhere without a hat & this gem is from Overland
Her top (super simple) is from Urban Outfitters
The belt is Free People (you do not want to know the troubles we went through to make that belt stay put)
The infamous fringe maxi is originally from Nasty Gal. I looked high and low for a similar one, but had no such luck *SIGH*. You can always get creative, buy a regular maxi and make it into fringe by cutting it!
Her hidden boots are from Tarjeit (pronounced Target), but no longer available (maybe in stores), but found some simple black booties on Nasty Gal
My Jesus sandals were purchased from Forever 21 a long while ago
The magical flower crown is handmade by one of my sisters friends!
The leather backpack is vintage from a place called my Mum’s closet from the 80’s (thank God for Mums)
this concludes day 1extremely stoked on life listening to Kid Cudi& then head banging to Pharrellday 2 outfits consist of //
Headpiece is actually a chunky necklace from Nordstrom, but it’s THAT much better on your head clearly
hottest halter yet is from Urban Outfitters
another pair of vintage shorts made by herself
glady-glady-gladiatorssss from Steve Madden, Kendall and Kylie Collection
She may not be wearing them, but in her hand are thee pair of to-die-for Dior cat-eye sunglasses she owns
My two necklaces are from my favorite vintage store in the Los Angeles area, Wasteland
Top from Merrilee’s Swimwear Boutique in Huntington Beach CA near Main Street
Vintage shorts made by Bree
Sam Edelman ankle booties (by far the best basic boot any girl can own)
I got my Ray Bans on
Free People hizzz-hat
shorts are vintage from Wasteland
white Connies on my feet
Overland hat makes an appearance yet again!
Sundaze tank from MATE the Label (really rad brand, make sure to check them out!)
switchin’ it up with the striped shorts from Urban Outfitters, but found some here
sunnies to shield her baby browns are vintage from her Daddio (he’s got good taste)
Vans to make her dance
This concludes our Coachella fashion spree!! We hope this inspires & gives you ideas for next years outfits!! Stay close to Free People, Urban Outfitters, and your local vintage store for the best finds.
