PS : The Saguaro Hotel

DSC04187

DSC04438Palm trees and a nice breeze. Need a getaway? Palm Springs. Need a remedy to a heartbreak? Palm Springs. Need a girls weekend? Palm Springs. What I’m trying to get at is, Palm Springs is always the answer. When my sister-in-law came to me all zee way from the land of Straya, and said she was craving PS because she had never been, I could not say no to that little koala! I rounded up a couple of girlfriends and a new mini road trip was in the books. Unfortunately you can see Bree did not attend (sigh). One of us has to be the responsible bird, otherwise it just wouldn’t work.

We arrived to Palm Springs and did one thing, and one thing only…lay by the pool. Honestly, that’s basically it, along with wander around the ever-so-lovely Saguaro Hotel. This is where you need to be, and this is where you need to stay whenever coming to Palm Springs. Sipping your drink of choice by the pool, catching a couple of zzZ + some Vitamin D. How could you ever be sad when you are surrounded by vibrant colors, palm trees, and a Mexican food restaurant located in the lobby open from morning to night? The answer: YOU CAN’T. The beds are to-die-for, the rooms are seww spacious + affordable, and they have a sweet small yoga class every morning open to all guests. Namaste my birds…I rest my case.

100% agree. Palm Springs is the BEST. Especially at this time of year.

The best date shakes in the desert are right outside of Palm Springs, just past the windmills at the N. Indian Canyon exit. You head north about a mile maybe, and eventually see a little tiny mom and pop convenience store called the Windmill Market on your right.

Go there. Eat tacos. Wash them down with a creamy milkshake with bits of real dates blended in. Sooooo good!
