I feel like I may start to sound like a broken record when it comes to these blog posts. . .but there is just so many damn reoccurring themes in my life. One in particular is dating (lack thereof). Last night I was able to spend a lovely evening at True Foods Kitchen with Bree who I hadn’t spent time with since Halloween, talking about life, love, music, & dating these days. Believe it or not, our schedules combined are insanity && we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like to, BUT besides the point. OH! Also, if you live in Newport Beach CA, or are ever visiting, we highly recommend going to lunch or dinner at True Foods. Its healthy, the food is impeccable, the wait staff is always the best, & they have the best natural drinks + cocktails. . .seriously they are to-die-for.SO where was I . . .? AH! Yes, dating. Quite impossible these days, if you ask me. And I absolutely refuse to sign up for any of the dumb swipe right, swipe left apps. . .which brings me to my next point. This day & age it’s hard for any girl to feel pretty, to feel worth it. Maybe even guys as well. When all you have to do is open a simple app that allows you to see the most loveliest humans that roam this Earth. How do you keep up with what’s considered “perfect”? How do you even compete when guys wont even give you a second look because you don’t fit the criteria? Now I promise you, this isn’t going to spiral into a social media rant, blah blah blahhh. It’s just a simple letter/post for you beautiful thing you that’s reading this to know we all struggle with the same sh** && we are no different from one another. Just because I can get dressed up, do my hair (occassionally) & smile in front of the camera, means nothing. Zero. Zilch. Beauty is just that, beautiful, but it also fades. Someone’s goodness && pureness within their heart is true && extremely hard to come by. So next time WE compare ourselves to that “Instagram model” && wanting to change every little thing about ourselves, we’ve gotta remind ourselves. . .there’s no way she’s got as badass of a swagger (if you will) than us.

the bag. OH the bag. This past year I was frolicked, yes indeed frolicked to a new festival in San Diego CA called Kaboo. It was an art + music festival && when I was leisurely looking through all the INCREDIBLE art they did have, I came across another little booth of handmade leather goods && fell completely head-over-heels in love with this fringe goodness. I was a bad blogger && didn’t get their card && I have nightmares about it.
