You may ask yourself can music feed my soul. . .can a television show complete me. . .can an outfit give me life. . .? The answer is YES. Okay, so leave it to me to be overly-dramatic, but even though I do think the answer is yes, I am also very much aware that the one solid thing that can in fact feed my soul, complete me, & give me life continuously is Jesus. However, this dress, THIS DRESS, embodies me as a human.
Let me let you in on a little something, I’m 50% Dutch. It’s no secret, I just love saying it. Mainly because it is the only heritage that I am most connected to. You could say the Netherlands is on my bucket list. . .if I had a proper bucket list. I get caught up in a daze floating down the canals of Amsterdam, falling in love & sharing a single moment on “the bench”, following in Hazel & Augustus’ footsteps. I’m a sucker for a romance novel, turn movie any day.The first time I put on this exact outfit (the neck tie came later) I went to dinner with a girlfriend & her words were, “aww you look like a little dutch girl”. Well isn’t that just so fitting. Turns out, it’s the perfect dress for any occassion. In the mere 3 months that I have had the pleasure of calling this dress mine, it has followed me on many adventures. In fact, one adventure was wine tasting on Bree’s birthday in the little Dutch town just 2 hours away from us. Solvang, Ca. **sighs** how adorable.
The cinched waist makes sure to give you the slightest silouhette of your figure, and the elegance of the deep blue embroidery is such a dream. What I love most is the deep V neckline, with the proper clasp. It throws a hint of sexy with such a proper dress. //
