We will always continue to live healthy + happy lifestyles. It’s something that is a part of us, and will always be a part of us. We’re not saying that we don’t have bad days. Oh boy do we have bad days, and it’s the absolute worst when those bad days fall on a shoot day.
So much of our days are taken up by sitting still. Whether it’s in a classroom, an office, in bed, we’re not moving. We aren’t doing what our bodies are meant to do & that is. . .to MOVE. Get outside, go for a jog, go for a walk, go for a bike ride, take a bounce class. PUSH YOURSELF. Whatever it is that is going to get your blood pumpin’, and that body movin’, DO IT. (insert Nike swoosh)
:: eat ::
Fuel your body with the right foods! Being mindful of what types of food you are feeding your body is crucial, yet it’s something that we ALL like to overlook. You were given a beautiful, healthy, strong body!! Give it what it needs, which is greens + healthy fats + protein, not fast food + sugar + etc. We obsess over counting calories & dieting, when we should be obsessing over eating, but eating smart.
:: stretch // meditate ::
It’s always nice to take some time for yourself & stretch, and or meditate. After a long sweaty, grueling workout there is nothing better than putting on the soothing sounds of Bon Iver, dimming the lights, lighting a few candles, and having a nice long stretch. Inhale + Exhale. It’s like thanking your body for putting up with the torture, and rewarding it!!
:: looking good ::
Half of feeling good, is looking good. What we mean by that is . . . dress-up for your workouts! No, no, no. We don’t mean be that person to walk into the gym with a full face of make-up, hair curled, with a fresh spray tan. What we DO mean is, find workout gear that makes you feel confident, and makes you want to workout. This is an actual thing, trust us. We have fallen completely in love with Onzie Activewear.
